The State Specialized Enterprise ”Chernobyl NPP” (SSE CNPP) is a key player in the decommissioning of nuclear power plant units and transforming the Shelter Object into an environmentally safe system. An important task of SSE is to ensure safety and stability in the territory of the former Chernobyl NPP after the 1986 disaster.

One of the key projects of SSE CNPP is the construction and operation of a new safe confinement, which is a modern radiation protection and environmental hazard mitigation system. This project, also known as NSC (New Safe Confinement), was developed with the consideration of the most advanced technologies and safety standards.
