The Institute of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine has been operating since 1972.

Institute for problems of Cryobiology and cryomedicine of NAS of Ukraine, operates since 1972. The Institute includes the following research departments: • Krobotek. • Biochemistry of cold adaptation. • Crafthole cells. • Cryobiology of reproductive system. • Low temperature preservation. • Crafthole. • Krobos and pharmacology NHS. • Experimental cryomedicine. • Croatioa and immunology. • Chromatog. • CrazyTalk. • Crioprotector. • Krabok. • Long-term storage of biological objects at low temperatures. • Low-temperature Bank of biological objects. The Institute is developing as a comprehensive research institution, where, together with biologists and physicians working physics and Biophysics, chemists and biochemists, mathematicians and engineers. Starting its activities consisting of 47 employees, the staff of the Institute to date is 326 employees, among which are 19 doctors of Sciences and 116 candidates of Sciences. Members of the Institute have published more than 2700 scientific publications in leading Ukrainian and foreign journals and scientific collections. Out of 77 of monographs and collections of scientific works. Obtained 170 patents and 236 author’s certificates.
