The Research Institute of Geodesy and Cartography is a leading research institution of the State Service of Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre. The Institute carries out research work in the field of geodesy, cartography, remote sensing of the Earth, regulatory support of topographic, geodetic and cartographic works; development and implementation of geographic information systems; creation of a basic set of geospatial data of various levels of detail; compilation of address registers of settlements and digital models of the area; formation of a bank of cartographic data on the territory of Ukraine, digital maps; compilation and publication of cartographic and satin products, unique office maps, interactive maps on CD and on the Internet; creation of geographic information systems and cartographic software for information and reference systems, management systems of territories and enterprises.
